Team dynamic: 4 reports into Chief Technical Officer (started in engineering dept and grew into this role)
Reliability Engineering Manager – 1 report
This role has 1 direct report (1 progress operator)
Still very much boots on the ground, hands on position
Capital projects, project management skills
Keep process engineer on task
DCS system – make improvements to the system down the road
Work very closely with production technical writer who does all the SOP’s and technical writer, maintenance dept and supervisors
Preferably BS in Chemical Engineer but Mechanical Engineer would suffice
Production side of manufacturing experience, required
- Sugar mills, soy bean mills, anything fuel, anything
- They grind the corn – they are a continuous operations/ distillery
- Large industrial rotating equipment; sometimes food can translate but not if it “line related”
- Any type of chemical manufacturing
They produce: Cattle feed, corn oil, corn syrup – bi products of the corn kernel
101M gallon plant
Own this position – relatively flat organization (CTO, reporting into CEO); not a ton of upward mobility
- Grow it knowledge wise, own CI, capital projects/ equipment
- Looking to grow capacity of plant
Must have managed a team in the past – don’t want just someone as an individual contributor. Seeking a higher level individual
